So when we moved into out house we decided not to get cable. After watching PBS kids and hearing Tray and Violet on on the computer at PBS kids .org I was fed up with it until I found a new channel well it all the sudden showed up when the switch to digital happened. QUBO oh my word it has the cutest shows either that or I am relieved to be watching something other then "Sid the Science Kid". Tray loves taking pictures and this is one of his pieces.

Some time when we are at home and I feel so inspired I grab my camera and start taking random fun picture. Here are some from about a week or two ago. Violet has gotten this attitude and its been really trying my patients so sometimes when she is really making me mad I take pictures and it keeps me from yelling and screaming. It's good therapy!!!

Tray came home from school reciting songs, poems, and finger play stories that all had to do with "Johnny Appleseed" I was so exited that he was learning all these fun songs! Tray's teacher sent home a paper a few weeks later asking if she could get some parents to help them on the day they were going to be making Applesauce for their Johnny Appleseed unit!!! I jumped at the chance to go and thanks to Violet's preschool and a babysitter I was able to go.

I remember when I was little and my mom would help in my class room and she worked as a "Noon Duty Lady" where she would watch the kids at recess and I LOVED IT! One of my favorite memories was when she would buy us bags of popcorn on 25 cent popcorn day and we would eat it together. It was always fun that they had a surprise at the bottom of the popcorn bag mmmmmmm. gummy bears:) I really want to be there for my kids as much as I can.

So this year we sent Tray off to Kindergarten, it has been extremely hard for Violet to see him leave everyday knowing she has to return home, which might I add all the sudden became the worst place for her to be. So when some wonderful women in my ward asked me if Violet wanted to do Joy School I was exited. We had Tray in a little co-op preschool like this and he loved it. What happens is we rotate teaching the preschool kids at each others houses. This is so FUN for her she would love to have it everyday but it is only 2 days a week.

It's so funny all the sudden kids start school and every sentence starts with my best friend this and my best friend that. Not only that but their best friends change everyday. I learn something new everyday from them. These pictures are of Violet's first day of school.

Trays First Day of school, Okay okay so I admit it I got up that morning and I became the most proud, obsessive,blubbering Mom EVER. We woke up early to get there and take pictures and this seriously was only 1/2 of them. Tommy was sad he missed his first day so I pretty much documented every second . I am one of those Mothers, sad to say. I am so exited for him to learn so much and become the most amazing kid like I know he is. His Teacher is beyond amazing her name is Miss. Smith she is the best!!

On Friday nights when Tommy comes home we have movie night where we stack pillows up in front of the TV and watch fun movies as a family. Wow soooo.....It's been a while! for those of you not on facebook I have some fun pictures of the baby situation. Here is me 9 months prego. So there was a little bit of complication during the pregnancy with me the baby was fine I was extremely anemic and had to be on Iron pills the whole 9 yards and there was a possibility of a blood transfusion but I am fine due to an amazing doctor and nurses staff they knew exactly what to do. Due to this I was sooooooooooo incredibly tired and sore and worn out I feel so much better now!

Here was our attempt to a Christmas photo this year. We went to the mall and the kids saw Santa and also saw him giving away coloring books and crayons. Immediately they had to go. I said to Tommy we wont get picture they just rip you off! Well........ The Santa was so good and the kids were so cute talking to him we thought we would go ahead and fork over the 30 dollars to get the DANG picture (and CD). So if your wondering why they have messy hair, there was not supposed to be a picture taken. We have some cute Santa pictures from our ward Christmas party. I will send them Later.

Baby Update...... So I am huge, the baby's a Girl, Her name will probably be Lexi Alyce Duncan, Still due in March, The Doctor says the baby is going to be BIG so I am seriously thinking about an Epidural this time but I am kind of scared, I have been hearing a lot of horror stories lately about them. Violet and Tray were so Perfect so I don't know?????

I have been having a lot of fun with my Christmas projects this year though it is hard to juggle everything all at once. I was SICK for so long I have had to put Christmas off till the last min. literally. I am going to take pics of them too!!

So here is the Turkey story............

I have never cooked a turkey before I don't know why I just never had. Until recently when I was brutally forced into the task. I went shopping at Save mart a local grocery store and I purchased a lot of groceries and they gave me a free turkey. I was like COOL and then I thought about it "wait, I don't know how" so I used my phone a friend I called Papa and he confused me so I pulled the audience (Tommy) and I went and got a turkey bag. Ding Ding this was going to be easy there are few instructions, and I was good to go. So the day came and Tommy was like if you don't cook the turkey soon it will go bad and me being my moms daughter I couldn't bear letting a perfectly good turkey go to waste so here we go. I cut the bag the turkey was in and immediately blood gushed out (blah....heave....hurl) yes, those were my exact thoughts and sounds. Then I touched it and it was all over, at the time I was on the phone with my mom and she was guiding me through it, at this moment I lost it I was balling saying "mom I can't do this" "I am not equip for this activity" " this is horrible" It was by far the grossest thing I have ever done. I had to pull out this thing inside the crotch and a bag of gross stuff from the neck (which I opted not to do) all this time trying my hardest not to throw up. Maybe it was because I am pregnant or maybe I just am not that great of a homemaker. All in all It turned out great and I actually was proud of myself for doing it my mom told me to stop and wait till Tommy got home but I toughed it out like a trooper, it help when your sister calls while your doing it and distracts you with Colorado gossip. that is my story and yes, I probably will do it again just not while I am pregnant.

We finally got Internet and now I can blog again. So many things have happened since we got the house, where do I start? Well, we are expecting our 3rd baby about Marchish not sure on the due date yet. I will be really exited once I can kick this morning, noon ,and night and sometimes in the middle of the night sickness. It makes it really hard to get any house work done. I also got into a car accident like 3 weeks ago other than some soreness a couple bruises we are great, the car is another story. We have just been enjoying the house and definitely the backyard for sure. My camera is in the car so it will be about a week or so before I can update with pictures.

So it HAPPENED yet again Violet has managed to find my make up bag and untie my double knot and get into my make up. How in the He## does she do this? It's a mystery, and she should be studied. Silly me I thought she was taking a nap, it's not my fault! shes so quiet like a mouse.....or rat........she's a snitching,mouserat and apparently a genius too. As I felt myself get more and more angry I remembered what a good friend of mine did when she was mad at her kid one day. I grabbed my camera and surprisingly it made me feel better, it kept me from yelling and that's always a plus.

Improved Weather Conditions Slow Summit Fire

Increased humidity, calmer winds and cooler temperatures are making it a bit easier to contain blaze burning in the Santa Cruz mountains. Fire officials say after consuming 3,100 acres, the blaze, known as the summit fire, is now 20 percent contained. "Once the marine layer moves back out, activity will pick up a little bit," said Joe Waterman, a Cal Fire incident commander. "We have a lot of forces mobilized, and we are optimistic we'll be able to hold it today."Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger was in Gilroy at a briefing to get the latest information on the fire. On Thursday, he declared a state of emergency for Santa Cruz County, allowing access to state funds. Hundreds of area residents remainrf out of their homes after being forced to evacuate. Residents of about 1,400 homes were under evacuation orders— 336 of them mandatory. The blaze, which was reported by resident Kenneth Kim between Gilroy and Watsonville near Summit and Ormsby roads, has stretched about five miles along Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties, Cal Fire spokeswoman Colleen Baxter said. Fire officials told CBS 5 Thursday that smoldering brush from a homeowner's legally permitted burn ignited the flames, which resulted in the destruction of at least a dozen structures. Residents who need the latest information about evacuation locations should call (408) 458-7195. The blaze also has created unhealthy air, according to the Santa Cruz County Health Services Agency. Residents in surrounding areas have been warned to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities and stay indoors as much as possible, health officials said. Residents with respiratory problems as well as young children and the elderly should be especially cautious, and doors and windows should be kept closed. Health officials also warned that homegrown produce should be thoroughly washed before consumption. Residents with health concerns and questions can call (831) 454-4000 during work hours and

the Emergency Operations Center at (831) 458-7185 over the weekend. There is no estimated time for full containment of the fire. No injuries have been reported.

Santa Cruz Fire

I don't now if anyone heard but Yesterday there was a fire in the Santa Cruz Mountains and the wind was blowing so hard they were having a tough time controlling it. I am pretty sure its gone now.

We live about 20 to 30 min. from Santa Cruz and this morning I woke up in a panic my apartment was smelling like we had a campfire. My husband said "go back to sleep its just from the Santa Cruz fire". That was crazy to wake up to though!!!

Fun Announcement

Tommy and I and the kids took a Quick weekend down to Idaho last weekend, and when I say quick I mean we left at 9pm on Friday night got there at 7:30 am the next morning and we left to come home at noon on Sunday.

I do hair every eight weeks in the salon my Daddy made me and my mom, and some "THINGS" are going down that prevented me from taking a bigger weekend and that "THING" made it so Tommy and I couldn't be apart.

So here is the fun announcement, I have been waiting 5 year to make this announcement, and as I sit here and actually type it I have tears filling my eyes. For many of you buying a house may not be difficult but if any of you have a clue what the price of homes cost out here, you would know how GRATEFUL to the Lord I am for this amazing blessing in my life. This is something I thought would never happen. Yes, you guessed it we are in the process of buying a home and its more beautiful than I had ever expected. We have NOT closed yet so anything can happen but things are going smoothly and fast.

Tommy and I have been living in a 800sq. ft. apartment for 5 years and are ready to be home owners now! Now, I do have pictures of the home but I will share them as soon as we close escrow. It will give you something to look forward to.

I want to thank my wonderful husband for working so hard to give such a beautiful gift to our family. He is such an amazing man.

Oh my gosh!!!!! Easter was so much freakin' fun this year. Not only was it the ONLY day that whole week where there was sunshine but almost all my brothers and sisters showed up with their kids. So there was like 16 kids there or something. We had a humongous Easter egg hunt in my parents back yard. While Tray enjoyed the dinosaur shaped eggs.......Violet was so busy picking up the jelly beans that fell out of the eggs which only left her with a couple of actual eggs, they all got snatched up before she could get them it was so sad. She got some donations though and she was fine.

We went swimming today with our play group (sorry but there are no pictures). I was literally holding both of my kids thinking this is fun I am just a big floatation device for Violet and Tray to claw on to....Seriously.....CLAW on to. So we are in the pool early before anyone, and people start trickling in, each mother has two kids and on their older child is a life jacket. At this point I am feeling pretty stupid "Why didn't I think of that" Instead I am the children's Booey (or how ever you spell it). If I would have only planned ahead of time I might have been able to have some fun. I know the kiddies had a blast! that's what I get for being unprepared.

Tray Broke his leg Last July and it was so rough. But he was a trooper about the whole situation.The little guy even got potty trained right before it happened and he was bound and determined to remain a BIG BOY, and so he did.

Tray is a crazy, happy boy and he loves Spider man, Power Rangers, Steelers' Football, and scary movies.Hands Down the coolest kid around.

Violet Dawns Life so far

Violet had a little bit of a rough start coming into this world. She got a bad sickness and was hospitalized at about 2 weeks old. Brochiolitis and Influenza A was her diagnosis. She was in the hospital for 2 weeks, 2 Long weeks and the P-ICU for 4 days.She stopped breathing 3 time and scared the living crap out of us. She is well and no long term damage.

She was such a happy baby and she makes our lives joyful every second shes around.

So Here it goes......

My name is Victoria Ann (Spencer) Duncan I am Married to a Crazy cool man Tommy Ray Duncan II and the two of us made 2 kids. Tray (Tommy Ray Duncan III) is the oldest at a whopping 3 1/2 He will be 4 June 11th the toughest kid in the neighborhood and not to mention he's a smart cookie. Violet Dawn Duncan is our little princess she just turned 2 February 17th she may have the name of a delicate flower but girlfriend can hold her own. This is our little family and I love them soooooooo incredibly much. We live in Northern California in the San Jose Bay Area. It is beautiful here and I hope to be able to live here forever.

I am busy being a mom and being a very part time hair stylist. I do Hair a little in my home and I also travel to Idaho every 8 weeks and do hair in my little salon my Dad built for me and my mom. I love to craft, scrapbook, decorate cakes and be with my family.

Tommy is a graphic designer at Omnivision a company here in Sunnyvale. Between his DVD collection and family and his organized supremacy board game he play with is brothers and friends once a week, he is crazy busy and he loves it. It fun to see the little boy come out of him now that Tray and Violet are this fun age, its also fun to walk into the kids room and find Tommy cuddled up with Violet watching Barbie Rapunzel movie, I just find it amusing.
